Well, well well... After all the years of wasting my and everyone else's time (Since 1997), I done got out and made me a semi legit looking web page. For those of you who actually miss the old Waste of Time (and judging from the stats, there are few of you), fear not. I still plan to waste plenty of people's time. However, gone are the days of the nearly unimaginable plethora of worthless webpages hosted on GeoCities and the like that people with a T-1 had trouble loading up because of their coding inefficiencies caused by poor web authoring tools. So, I dropped my old mantra of writing HTML by hand and have taken up the use of Macromedia's mighty nifty web tools, Fireworks and Dreamweaver to assist me in my new web venture.

What is my new web venture you ask? Well there are two really. One, as I said before, the days of the dumb GeoCities sites are mostly gone. Instead, the web now has a huge cornucopia of smooth, polished looking personal webpages, many of which (just as they did in 1997) serve no real purpose despite their existence on search engines (I continue to maintain that someone in Kentucky doesn't care about my friends). My old page however, was not the kind of thing that could knock any of the new personal sites. It was exactly what it made fun of: technically inferior, and poorly coded. Basically it was stuck in 1997 because I wouldn't make use of what are now quite good web authoring tools. So now, I am out to make fun of the swanky tripe with my own swanky tripe just as I did with a plain lousy page 4 years ago. Plus, I'm about to graduate, and that other piece of crap wasn't going to help me get a job. This piece of crap at least looks like it's capable of getting someone a job.

But if the few of you who might care about the old site must, you can still refer to this new piece of unmeaningness as the Waste of Time (see title bar of your browser). Either way, it's still me, Kevin Kane, wasting your time with some new swank, just I have been doing since 1997. Enjoy my new web digs....

Oh wait, I almost forgot... With the new site come some 'rules.' Actually I was just looking for an excuse to sound high and mighty cause, well this is my site and stuff. So if you are so inclined, read my policy statement.

***All words in italics are there to help demonstrate the fruits of my almost four years of college education. Notice that the italicized words are large and sound rather fancy. I firmly believe that they are examples of one thing that I have absolutely learned here. That lesson is this: Big and fancy words are cool.
